Zaromskis forward early, looking for the high kick. Both men land simultaneous teep kicks before Zaromskis backs him up. Zaromskis lands a nice left hand which drops the Japanese legend to his back. He’s soon back up but Sakuraba’s ear is badly cut. After a brief break the fight continues. Sakuraba lands a nice right hand but its Zaromskis who’s looking the sharper on the feet. Nice body shot lands by Zaromskis before he stuffs the takedown. As he does Sakuraba’s ear tears and after a brief consultation with the doctors the fight is waved off. It looks as if part of the ear is missing.
